On behalf of the entire SEAA Convention Planning Committee, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the impressive panel of speakers featured in our 2010 program. We “appreciate each of you” for taking time from your busy schedules to join us in Tampa for the 38th Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) National Convention & Trade Show held on March 11-13, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. These industry partners delivered powerful messages in these timely and informative sessions; we share your vision to help “educate, inform and train” the steel erection industry!
It goes without saying, it takes a small army of “team-players” to bring together SEAA’s Annual meeting, and this year was no exception. “it was all in the details!” No pun intended, the Convention team championed a very successful “sequence of events” for steel erection companies to take home great ideas to improve their operations. It all came together as simple and complex as an SSP “site-specific steel erection plan,” would have been discussed in a pre-con meeting. Spoken like a true Erector/Fabricator member, I can appreciate their tasks and accomplishments.
Moreover, if you weren’t able to attend SEAA’s meeting this year, we’re excited to bring members a “new value-added” benefit with the opportunity to download the speaker handouts. Any SEAA Member can login to their member site HERE then select the Member's Information Library to see the link for the Speaker's downloads. A short form will allow us to track your interest in this area. If you want a full set of the handouts, email Pamela Pocock (executivedirector@seaa.net) and we’ll drop a copy in the mail. We hope you’ll agree; this new feature is a great way to provide educational content to our member firms. If you are not a member of SEAA, please click HERE to see all our membership benefits!
The 2010 Convention audience represented 150+ steel erectors, fabricators, detailers, specialty contractors, general contractors, suppliers, and services companies across the U.S. – everyone privileged to have had the opportunity to gather under one roof for one common goal: to “invest” in ideas to improve your company . We have conveniently uploaded the 2010 Convention Photo Gallery to the SEAA website, anyone can access/view our photos just click here: SEAA Picture Gallery.
Thanks again to our SPONSORS for their financial contribution. These funds help offset the meeting incidentals and are extremely important to our organization. “Hats-off” to the Gardner-Watson Decking Team (our Florida member-host) for a marvelous job in helping to coordinate details, and assist check-in at the Convention registration desk.
We would also like to give recognition to the 30+ EXHIBITING COMPANIES , for helping us “carry-on with business as usual.” In spite of these tough economic times, our Trade Show was sold out. The 1 st Annual Crane Rodeo, and seeing first-hand the industry’s latest trends, newest technology in equipment choices and services housed under one roof provided a great opening for attendees. All-in-all --- a very good ROI for all attendees! Hope to see you next year in Myrtle Beach, SC so save the date: March 3-5, 2011.
